Operator and scope
This website and app are maintained as the VideoClean project on wecha.ai. For questions, contact [email protected]. These terms apply to the current free Mac app and website. We will publish separate purchase terms before introducing paid checkout.
License
You may download and use the app on Macs you own or control for personal or internal business use. You may not resell, redistribute modified copies, or represent the app as your own. This license does not transfer ownership of the software.
Your library and your decisions
The app accesses only a Photos library you authorize. You decide which videos to select. Size-matched videos are only possible duplicates; equal file size does not prove identical content. Preview and verify items before deleting. Keep independent backups of important media.
Deletion and iCloud
After confirmation, the app asks Apple's Photos framework to move selected videos to Recently Deleted; it does not directly delete files or modify system files. Photos normally retains deleted items for about 30 days, but recovery is not guaranteed. If iCloud Photos is enabled, changes can sync to other devices using the same Apple Account. Emptying Recently Deleted can remove items permanently.
No device repair service
The app organizes videos in your own Photos library. It does not offer device repair, malware removal, security protection, or general system performance optimization.
Availability and responsibility
The app is provided as available. Features may depend on macOS, Photos permissions, and iCloud availability. To the extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by your deletion choices, interrupted iCloud sync, or unavailable third-party services. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes
We may update the app or these terms. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms where permitted by law.
